And so it begins...

My mother always says to me that I need to write down all the silly things my boys say or do.  I usually agree with her and make a mental note that I need to get a notebook out specifically for them.  I did get a box of notecards once and vowed to write something every day but that was short lived.  The other day I sat and listened to my eldest son try and give my middle son tips and tricks on going to the potty.  The different suggestions that he offered made me smile, chuckle and nod my head.  It amazes me all the different things that kids think of.  At that moment, I thought to myself that someday these boys would get some good laughs hearing all about their younger days, so I made a goal to start a blog for them.  It is so crazy that 3 boys from the same parents have many similarites yet be so different.  I'm going to begin by giving a status update as to where each of the boys are at in life right now.

Reggie is the oldest and the protector of his little brothers.  He has officially finished Preschool and will be starting Kindergarten in the fall.  It's hard to believe that my first born will be going to the "Big Kid's School" already.  He has turned into daddy's little sidekick and enjoys going different places with him when I stay home with his brothers.  He loves being outside and could spend hours on end hanging out in the yard.  He is a sports nut and loves playing everything from basketball to golf.  We are gearing up for his second summer of tee ball and he is excited that daddy bought him cleats to wear.

Ray is the middle boy and using the word "active" to describe him would be the understatement of the century.  He is constantly on the go and you cannot take your eye of him...ever.  The amount of clever things he has come up with is astonishing.  He has cheeks that you just want to pinch and kiss.  He has learned how to play by himself and keep entertained for hours on end.  He definitely has determination and at times wears mom and dad out.  He has started talking more and more and has a smile that is infectious.

Richard (Ricky) is our baby and as of now the mellow one in the group.  He has always been such a happy baby and has made this mama's life so much easier than it could be having 3 young boys.  He is constantly watching the crazy things his brothers are doing and has a smile on his face more often than not.  He sleeps through the night 6 out of 7 times a week and lays down without a fight.  He is at a great age and seems to be doing new things every day.  He is definitely a mama's boy and loves to cuddle which melts this mama's heart.

Our house is filled with Superheroes and sports equipment of all kinds and I have to admit that I know the names of more good guys/bad guys than I ever imagined.  It is not uncommon to show up at our house and find someone dressed up as Iron Man or Batman and sometimes we even have the pleasure of eating supper with Captain America.

The journey that lies ahead of my husband and I is one that we look forward to everyday and we can't even guess what the next 18 years of their childhood will be like.  The past 5 1/2 years have been more than I could ever ask for already.
